Storage Boost welcomes 2000 Christmas Presents for local charities this Christmas!

June 20, 2013

The week before Christmas, Storage Boost had a huge delivery of 2000 toys!

The self storage facility on Weston Road, Crewe had volunteered to be the hub for the delivery and distribution when they heard about the toy project being organised by CVS (Community & Voluntary Services) Cheshire East and AstraZeneca.

The project was organised in the hope of bringing a smile and some Christmas joy to children from families who are perhaps less well off or who may be going through a troubled period.

The toys had kindly been donated by employees from AstraZeneca at Alderley Park who had picked up an extra present or two for children of all ages, from babies through to older teenagers. The toys were then taken to Storage Boost in Crewe, where CVS divided them between 32 local charities and voluntary & community groups across Cheshire East.

Chris Doherty from AstraZeneca said, "We are delighted to support CVS Cheshire East and their partner charities to help bring a little festive cheer to some of the children in our community with this heartfelt gesture from our colleagues at Alderley Park.”

Caroline O’Brien, Chief Officer of CVS Cheshire East said “We are extremely pleased to have helped to facilitate this project together with AstraZeneca. It is lovely to feel that we are helping local children in some small way this Christmas”

Katie Vost, Manager of Storage Boost said "We were very happy to provide Storage here in Crewe for the project and it was a pleasure to be involved with the staff at Astra Zeneca and CVS Cheshire East.

Just some of the 32 organisations receiving toys included Vale Royal Women’s Aid, Crossroads Care Cheshire East, Together Trust, Monks Coppenhall Children’s Centre, Nantwich & Rural Children’s Centre and South Cheshire CLASP based in Crewe.
